Lauren Malara is a proud New Orleans native. She received a degree in acting from DePaul University and went on to perform for The Second City Theatricals.

She is a founding member of Hey Friend Productions. Some of their projects include Killin It and the Bear With Me Open Mic.

Currently she teaches Comedy Studies at her alma mater New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.
